چکیده

BER Characteristic for the Broadband Radio Channel at 5.2 GHz1 Matthias Lott, Peter Seidenberg, Stefan Mangold2 Abstract| One major problem in the design of an air interface is the assessment of the impact of the radio channel on the BER and thus on the protocols. Besides realistic channel modeling a realistic BER calculation is needed. This results in a trade o between realistic and fast BER calculation including the changing channel characteristic and interference sources. A new methodology for the assessment of the BER for an OFDM system in combinationwith a di erential modulation scheme is presented and the impact of the channel dispersion and the guard time of the OFDM system are discussed.

Stochastic Radio Channel Model for Advanced Indoor Mobile Communication Systems

A stochastic radio channel model (SRCM) for broadband indoor mobile systems operating at 5.2 and 17 GHz has been derived within the ACTS project AC085 Magic WAND. The SRCM was designed to accurately describe the time, frequency, direction, and polarization dispersive characteristic of real radio channels because these effects are important for the design of advanced receiver structures incorpor...

A Simulation Study on Space-time Equalization for Mobile Broadband Communication in an Industrial Indoor Environment

Linear space-time equalization is shown to be effective in coping with the complicated propagation conditions for wireless broadband communication in an industrial indoor environment. This is demonstrated by realistic simulations that use real channel measurement data obtained from a vector channel sounder for modeling the influence of the radio channel. The system parameters are similar to the...

Radio Channel Characteristics for typical Environments at 5.2 GHz

Propagation characteristics for the radio channel at 5.2 GHz in typical domestic and office environments are addressed in this paper. Ray tracing techniques are used, which provide realistic values for different environments. Values for the attenuation, the rms delay spread and for the power delay profile are presented for different buildings and at several positions.

BER Analysis of Energy Detection Spectrum Sensing in Cognitive Radio Using GNU Radio

Abstract—Cognitive Radio is a turning out technology that empowers viable usage of the spectrum. Energy Detector-based Sensing is the most broadly utilized spectrum sensing strategy. Besides, it's a lot of generic as receivers doesn't would like any information on the primary user's signals, channel data, of even the sort of modulation. This paper puts forth the execution of energy detection se...
